When an urge arrives, make the next step smaller.
Prepare a simple response for a difficult moment, with room to ask for support.

Write your plan while things feel calmer
A difficult moment is not the easiest time to invent a response. Pick a person you could contact, a place you could move to and an activity you can begin without preparation. For example: “I’ll text Alex and step into the garden.”
Notice what is happening around you
You might spot a familiar time, place or feeling. Noticing it can help you decide what support would fit. You do not need to explain everything perfectly or solve your whole week at once.
Keep support in the picture
You can use a journal or ClearDays coaching to think through your next step, but an app cannot assess your health. Seek professional support if urges are difficult to manage. If you drink heavily or feel unwell when stopping, get medical advice before changing your drinking. This is not a plan for managing withdrawal.
Give your next step a place to live.
